Circular Journeys I & II

Circular Journeys I & II:

A Photographic Journals of Sage Saladino

Welcome. This project began with a single idea: find a circle, frame it in black and white, and let the world slow down for just one moment. That small act became a way of seeing, moving through grief, change, humor, and connection. Over time, the pile of Polaroids evolved into Circular Journeys, a growing series of books built on photographs and journal entries from the road.

Circular Journeys II picks up where the first left off, capturing six months of stories, textures, and places that helped shape my sense of self and belonging. These aren’t just travel stories. They’re about the people who show up, the places that hold meaning, and the absurd magic of wandering with your eyes wide open.

The paperback
version is here!

Explore Circular Journeys I and II now, and step into a world of black-and-white frames filled with messy, magical color.

I’m excited to invite you into a world of Americana through my lens. Introducing the first and second releases in the circular journeys series in the best way I know how - through black and white images and the tales that imbue them with vibrant color.

Below are three stories of grandiose adventures shared with my family. A peek into the world seen in Circular Journeys.

Circular Journeys is an ongoing project that will only expand. Expect images that take on a new perspective, focus on the Great Lakes, and take on the world in 2025! As much as this is a passion project, there are several ways to support its continuation. Here are some ways to support this collection of stories and images…
1. Book a photography session! This keeps me behind the camera and doing what I love most and usually the pictures turn out.
2. Purchase a framed piece! While 30 of these images are ready-to-find homes, there are hundreds of images in the collection that can be prepared and hung in your favorite places. There are also several small-print options and greeting card sets.
3. Order the book! Additional editions will be available as the collection grows.
4. Refer the Circular Journeys collection to a gallery! Is there a perfect fit for these pieces somewhere in Wisconsin? Help us to connect by referring the collection, or forwarding the gallery’s information in the contact form, or by email at CaptureThyme@gmail.com
5. Share this post! it is 100% free and helps to bring my book to the people who will enjoy it most.
6. Venmo, CashApp, or Paypal! Sweet, simple, keeps me stocked in paint, prints, and stress-free.
7. Just be nice! I’m not always nice, but I do give it my best go. Living is about having a good time and minimizing harm to ourselves and others. If the only you can do after getting this far in the post is hold a door for someone or compliment their earrings, that is enough. If you need to give yourself kindness or forgiveness, that is enough too.

I’m so looking forward to sharing more with you!
